When does SPF Open?

January 26, 2024, with additional pickleball, bocce area, food and event space on the way!

Do I need to play Pickleball to come to SPF?

You don’t (but we still think it’s pretty fun)! SPF is equal parts a hub for excellent food and beverage as it is a place to play pickleball and other fun games. All seats and the café section & tables are available for walk-in.

Can I book courts in advance?

Sure thing! You can reserve courts in advance via our website and associated app.

Do you need to become a member to come to SPF?

Absolutely not - There is no exclusivity to SPF. We want our facility to be open to everyone in the community! If there are times available, you are welcome to book and play!

How much does playing cost, and what are the standard and peak times?

● Standard Times - $40 per hour

    Opening to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

● Peak Times - $60 per hour.

    5:00 pm to Closing, Monday through Friday

    All-day, Saturday and Sunday

What is the duration of a court reservation?

Court reservations must be a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours. Currently, 30-minute increments are unavailable for booking, but we're working on making that possible in the future!

How many people can I book on my reservation?

Bookings for one court can be made for a maximum of eight guests.

What’s included in my court reservation?

When you make a court reservation, you’ll get access to your court and the instant replay system for the duration of your booking. Bring your paddles and balls, or rent from us when you arrive!

Will you have paddles for rent?

Yes! Paddles will be available for rent at our front desk for $5.00 per person. Club SPF members also have access to free Paddle rental and specials on demos.

Can I rent a ball machine?

Unsurprisingly, we have that too! As long as it’s available, you can add a ball machine to any reservation for an additional fee.

What do I wear?

We recommended athletic attire for pickleball. We ask that you wear shoes with non-marking soles to avoid scuffing the court.

Do you offer a membership option, and what is included?

We do! Here is a small outline of what Club SPF membership gets you at SPF:

• Exclusive access to our premier locker rooms with saunas, showers, products from Ursa Major, and lockers.

• Priority booking for Courts, Tournaments, Leagues, Lessons, Clinics, Open Plays, Cucumber Club Lessons, and Camps.

• Free Paddle and ball Rental, including exclusive access to top-notch demo paddles.

• Discounts include 10% off our café and retail shop (excluding alcohol).

• 10% discount on Open Plays. 

• VIP events and tournaments exclusively made for Club SPF members, including standing court times and bespoke events.

What does a Club SPF membership cost?

• Pre-Opening Pricing: $49/month or save more with $499 annually.

• Opening Pricing: $59/month or save more with $599 annually.

Are private lessons available?

Yes, when you book a court, you may add a coach to your reservation for private instruction. You can also sign up for group classes via our website and app.

Are paddles provided in the classes?

Paddles are included with all beginner classes.

Do you offer lessons?

Yes! Explore our class schedule for lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players, along with some fun cardio and specific skill-based classes. Also, add a coach to any court booking (when available) for a private lesson.

What are the Cabanas?

SPF’s Cabanas are lush and exclusive private seating areas associated with your court. You can add a Cabana to your reservation during the online reservation checkout process for an additional fee and have an exclusive place for your group to sit, eat, and drink while they watch the rest of your crew slice and serve on the court! Cabanas are subject to availability.

Is food available in the Cabanas?

You know it! Simply scan the QR code at your Cabana and place your order. Your food & drinks will be brought right to you.

Can I book a private event or birthday party?

We love private events and parties! Check out our events page to learn more about our event packages, or email us at events@playspf.com, and someone on our team will get back to you so we can start party planning!

What locations are currently open?

SPF Chicago is the first and only SPF location, but you never know where we could pop up next!

What is your cancellation policy?

Club SPF Members and non-members get three 24-hour advance cancellations per month on a court-hour basis. This will be a full credit or debit card refund. If you cancel within the 24-hour window before your reservation, your court fees are non-refundable.

Do I need to sign a waiver to play?

Yes, please! When you book a court via our online platform, you’ll also make an account with us to track your bookings and peruse other events and offerings at SPF. Additionally, you’ll be able to complete your waiver before you come to play, so there will be no holdup in getting your feet on the courts.
