Do I need to play Pickleball to come to SPF?

You don’t (but we still think it’s pretty fun)! SPF is equal parts a hub for excellent food and beverage as it is a place to play pickleball and other fun games. All seats and the café section & tables are available for walk-in.

Can I book courts in advance?

Sure thing! You can reserve courts in advance via our website and associated app. Our iOS app is active and a version for Android is currently in beta testing! 

Do you need to become a member to play pickleball at SPF?

Absolutely not - There is no exclusivity to SPF. We want our facility to be open to everyone in the community! If there are times available, you are welcome to book and play ten days in advance.

How much does playing cost?

Rates vary depending on the time of day and whether you are a Club SPF member.

What is the duration of a court reservation?

Court reservations must be a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours. Currently, 30-minute increments are unavailable for booking, but we're working on making that possible in the future!

How many people can I book on my reservation?

Bookings for one court can be made for a maximum of 12 guests. After you reserve your court, please invite your friends to join your reservation so they can handle all of their paperwork beforehand and we can get you to your court faster! 

What’s included in my court reservation?

When you make a court reservation, you’ll get access to your court and the instant replay system for the duration of your booking. Bring your paddles and balls, or rent from us when you arrive!

What are the differences between the courts? 

● Court 1 is a separate court under our 20’+ clearance, closest to our main bar and self-pour tap wall.

● Courts 2 through 7 are side-by-side courts under our 20’+ clearance.

● Court 8 is our enclosed, private  60’x30’ court with 13’+ clearance.  This court includes black lights for an optional  glow in the dark experience.

● Court 9 is our enclosed, private championship sized court with 14’+ clearance.

Will you have paddles for rent?

Yes! Paddles will be available for rent at our front desk for $5.00 per person. Club SPF members also have access to free Paddle rental and specials on demos.

Can I rent a ball machine?

Unsurprisingly, we have that too! As long as it’s available, you can add a ball machine to any reservation for an additional fee.

What do I wear?

We recommended athletic attire for pickleball. We ask that you wear shoes with non-marking soles to avoid scuffing the court.

Do you need to be a member to play at SPF?

No, we’re open to everyone, but our Club SPF membership is pretty cool do!

Are private lessons available?

Yes, when you book a court, you may add a coach to your reservation for private instruction. You can also sign up for group classes via our website and app.

Are paddles provided in the classes?

Paddles are included with all beginner classes.

Do you offer lessons?

Yes! Explore our class schedule for lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players, along with some fun cardio and specific skill-based classes. Also, add a coach to any court booking (when available) for a private lesson.

What are the Cabanas?

SPF’s Cabanas are lush seating areas situated amongst several of SPF's courts.

While cabanas are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis, you can make the experience of our cabanas all your own when you book a private event at SPF. You'll have an exclusive place for your group to sit, eat, and drink while they watch the rest of your crew slice and serve on the court! Cabanas are subject to availability.

Is food available in the Cabanas?

Yes, food is available in the Cabanas! And the best part is, you have the freedom to choose. Simply scan the QR code at your Cabana and place your order. Your food & drinks will be brought right to you. If you've booked a private event, you can bring food to your Cabana if booked in-house or via one of our preferred catering partners!

What locations are currently open?

SPF Chicago is our very first SPF location currently open 7 days a week! SPF Winter Fieldhouse will be popping up this Winter through Spring 2025 at 2367 W. Logan.

Where is the Fieldhouse located?

SPF Winter Fieldhouse is located at 2367 W. Logan Blvd, Chicago, IL 60647.

What should we know about SPF Winter Fieldhouse?

The Fieldhouse is a our exclusive winter pop-up, allowing us to bring more courts, fun and recreaation to Chicago this winter.

What are the hours of operation?

8am-10pm every single day!

Is food & beverage available?

Only pre-packaged food & beverage are available at this time. You can learn more about events and catering options by emailing us at events@playspf.com

Is Instant Replay technology available?

Not at this time!

What is your cancellation policy?

Club SPF Members and non-members get three 24-hour advance cancellations per month on a court-hour basis. This will be a full credit or debit card refund. If you cancel within the 24-hour window before your reservation, your court fees are non-refundable.

Do I need to sign a waiver to play?

Yes, please! When you book a court via our online platform, you’ll also make an account with us to track your bookings and peruse other events and offerings at SPF. Additionally, you’ll be able to complete your waiver before you come to play, so there will be no holdup in getting your feet on the courts.
